Short Stories:
J Lee Ratcliffe has been working on a collection of short stories that are tied together thematically. Inspired by years in the classroom, these stories are about children, but for the adults in their lives. The provide a window into the inner world of young people who are dealing with challenges or trauma. The stories cover a range of experiences. Some are heartbreaking, some humorous, some infuriating, but all eye-opening.
A Novel:
Once upon a time, the FDA approved a medication that prevents the visible signs of aging. It came with some side effects, as medications do. These were mild enough that most people were willing to take the medication. Most people, but not everybody.
Monique belongs to a subculture known as A-Nats, people who age naturally. Now in her seventies she has grown comfortable with her unconventional life and small circle of like-minded friends. When her contented little bubble is disrupted by a series of unexpected events, she will have to face her past choices, including her own role in creating the society that reviles her.
